
Manchester United FC which is also referred to as Man United is a professional football club based in Old Trafford, Manchester in England. The club has been founded in 1878 as Health LYR Football Club and later changed its name to Manchester United in 1902. They compete in the Premier League (the highest level of the English football league system) currently.
Manchester United have won 20 league titles, 12 FA Cups, 6 League Cups, and a record 21 FA Community Shields respectively. Manchester United in International Football have also won European Cup thrice, and they have won UEFA Europa League, UEFA Cup Winners Cup, UEFA Super Cup, Intercontinental Cup and FIFA Club WC once each.
Manchester United (nickname: Red Devils) has been one of the most widely supported football clubs in the world and they have rivalries with other Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal and Leeds United. The club was taken in private by an American businessman Malcolm Glazer in 2005 which was valued at almost 800 million Euros at that time.
According to Forbes, Manchester United is valued at $6 billion (as of May 2023) with a huge revenue of $779 million and an operating income of $108 million. They have been ranked number 2 by Forbes in the world football team values 2023 list only behind Real Madrid.
Glazer family were ranked 8th in the world's most valuable sports Empire 2022 at a valuation of $5.84 billion. Apart from Manchester United they also own teams from NFL and it's reported that they have taken a huge amount of 1.6 billion euros from the club since they took ownership in 2005.
