Indian table tennis star Manika Batra posted a complaint on Twitter regarding her lost kit bag while travelling home from a tournament in Peru on a KLM Airlines flight on Tuesday, August 8. Batra took to Twitter and shared how her kit bag, tagged as priority baggage, got lost and neither the airport nor the airline's staff had any idea regarding the whereabouts of her luggage.

Further the 28-year-old stated the importance of her kit bag for her upcoming tournaments. Batra shared the tag number of her kit bag and also asked for help from the Union Minister for Civil Aviation of India, Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, who also responded to her complaint. Scindia conveyed that the matter is being taken care of.

The World number 35’s tweet said, "Unbelievable disappointment with @KLM.! Priority-tagged baggage lost on a business class flight, including my essential sports kit for an upcoming tournament. Staff at the airport had no answers or any solutions & they had no idea where my bag is. @JM_Scindia sir pls help."

In the tournament in Peru, Batra was eliminated in the round of 32 by Japan’s world number 14 Miu Hirano 11-3, 11-7, 10-12, 6-11, 9-11. Moving forward, Manika Batra has emerged to  be one of India’s brightest medal hopes in the upcoming Asian Games in Hangzhou. The World 35 will pair up with Indian veteran G. Sathiyan, the seventh-best mixed doubles team in the world for the continental tournament as India’s leaders at the Continental Tournament between September 23–October 8.
