In an unprecedented deal, India's dairy giant Amul have announced that they will be the regional sponsor for the Argentina football team in the FIFA World Cup 2022 beginning in Qatar in November. This is a herculean development since it is the first such regional sponsorship deal in Argentina's footballing history and also a monumental one for an Indian company.
President of the Argentine Football Association, Claudio Fabian Tapia, in an official statement, expressed his pleasure as he welcomed Amul as their regional sponsor for the quadrennial event. "We are happy to have Amul being AFA’s first regional sponsor in India," he stated.
Meanwhile, the COO of the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd, Jayen Mehta, also shared how Amul was proud of the development. “Amul is proud to announce its association with the Argentina Football Association (AFA)," he was quoted.
Not only did the company announce their deal with the Argentina football team on its social media but also came up with their characteristic topical as a tribute to the legendary Lionel Messi. They have named it "Masska for Messi."
