The 24-year-old Turkish defender, Merih Demiral has placed his former Juventus teammate Cristiano Ronaldo's signed jersey for auction to raise funds for the Turkey earthquake victims. Multiple reports have emerged that  an estimated 8,000 people have died and many more still missing due to the natural disaster that struck on Monday.

During their time playing for Juventus, Cristiano gifted Demiral a special signed jersey, which was placed for auction to raise funds for Turkey earthquake victims. Demiral took to his official Twitter handle and posted Cristiano's signed Juventus jersey and wrote, "I just spoke with @Cristiano. He said that he was very sad about what happened in Turkey. We are auctioning Ronaldo's signed jersey in my collection.

"All proceeds from the auction will be used in the earthquake zone. @ahbap will be donated."

Cristiano Ronaldo and Merih Demiral were teammates at Juventus during the 2019 and 2020 seasons as the Turkish defender was signed on loan by Serie A side Atalanta in 2021, while the Italian club completed the full transfer in June 2022 for a fee of €20 million. On the other hand, Cristiano left Juventus for his former club Manchester United in 2021 after playing three seasons in the Serie A and joined Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr in January 2023.

Cristiano Ronaldo appeared 134 times in the Juventus shirt and scored a total of 101 goals and provided 22 assists across competitions in three seasons, while Demiral represented the Bianconeri in 32 matches.
