Just days ahead of the Miami Grand Prix 2025, the Formula 1 has extended its existing agreement with the promoter South Florida Motosports. As per the new deal which makes Miami the longest contracted event on the F1 calendar, will see it remain on the calendar through 2041, following a 10-year extension.

It is to be noted that Miami joined the F1 circuit in 2022 and since its arrival, the Miami Grand Prix has established itself as one of the most desirable sporting events in the world. The announcement of Miami Grand Prix’s extension came on Friday, May 3 after a subsidiary of the NFL’s Miami Dolphins, the South Florida Motorsports lock-down the deal until 2041, after earlier being set until 2031.

In a statement released by the Formula 1 President and CEO, Stefano Domenicali said, “In just three years, the Miami Grand Prix has established itself as one of the most important and spectacular events on our calendar, an extraordinary example of quality and vision that truly represents the spirit and ambition of Formula 1 in the United States.”

“Extending this agreement until 2041 is a strategic milestone of enormous importance, which strengthens our presence in America and consolidates the ever-deepening bond with our fan base there, which is constantly growing and passionate like never before,” he further stated.

Speaking of the Miami Grand Prix, the track is built around the iconic Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens. It is known for its one of a kind, 5.41 km circuit which has 19 corners and three straights. Four-time world champion, Max Verstappen won the inaugural race in 2022, followed by another victory in 2023. Thereafter, Lando Norris of McLaren took the chequered flag in 2024 and it will be seen who dominated the Miami track in 2025 on Sunday, May 4.
