Jofra Archer opts out of IPL 2024 Auction presumably due to his injury woes

Jofra Archer, the ODI World Cup-winning fast bowler from England, has opted out of the IPL 2024 auction presumably due to his injury woes. Mumbai Indians signed the 28-year-old before the IPL 2022 season, but he missed the entire tournament due to an injury that year before turning up to play just five matches in 2023.

Moreover, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has reportedly requested all 10 teams to respond with their additional player requests, if any, in case they are not listed on the IPL 2024 auction register. The teams are also asked to respond with a list of players from the register, they would like to include in the IPL 2024 auction.
