India Maharajas notched up a comprehensive win over World Giants on Friday evening at the iconic Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata in what was a special match ahead of the second season of the Legends League Cricket.

Pankaj Singh's five-wicket haul and a blistering batting from Indian all-rounder Yusuf Pathan propelled Indian Maharajas to a 6-wicket victory.  While India Maharajas delivered a clinical performance in the game, middle-order batter Mohammad Kaif indulged in hilarious Twitter banter with prolific all-rounder Irfan Pathan.

Notably, both the cricketers put in noteworthy performances in the match as Kaif picked a crucial wicket in the 1st innings and Irfan Pathan batted brilliantly with his elder brother Yusuf Pathan during the run chase. A day after Indian Maharajas registered an exciting win, Kaif posted a short clip of picking up a wicket in the only over he bowled, that too as a substitute.

Widely regarded for his batting and fielding, Kaif came in to complete the 16th over for Indian Maharajas against World Giants after Ashok Dinda sustained an injury after four balls.  Notably, Kaif's first delivery of the over was smashed for six but the bowler dismissed the Giants batter, Thisara Perera, on the sixth ball of the over.

Sharing the clip on Twitter, Kaif also tagged BCCI President Sourav Ganguly and wrote, "Special attention, skipper: Please see the drift, flight and turn by Mohammad Kaif, the all-rounder. Dada, do you think you missed a trick?”

In response to Kaif's post, Iran Pathan wrote, "Aapki bowling ki mazak udaane ke liye muaafii.” (Sorry for making fun of your bowling."

Earlier, Kevin O Brien (52 off 31), Denesh Ramdin (42 off 29) and Thisara Perera (23 off 16) guided World Giants to 170/8, but brilliant batting display from Tanmay Srivastava (54 off 39) and Yusuf Pathan (50 off 35) helped India Maharajas clinch the contest by 6-wickets.  Pankaj Singh picked five-wickets in the game and was rewarded Player of the Match for his incredible bowling spell.
