The IPL 2023 is approaching its playoff stages with the points table getting more intense with just two more games remaining for the majority of teams, excluding SRH and RCB. MS Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings are placed second in the points table and ahead of their clash with Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday, a shocking video has emerged, where the CSK skipper can be seen silencing the fans.

Although there have been no confirmations on MS Dhoni's retirement yet, fans are not taking any chances, and are storming stadiums to see their beloved ‘Thala’ play live. The sea of yellow waves is following the CSK leader wherever he is going, and the chants of ‘Dhoni! Dhoni!’ during the matches speaks volumes for MSD's craze in the IPL. It goes without saying that CSK fans, especially in Chennai, consider Dhoni nothing less than a superhero.

A video has been doing circulations on social media, where the 41-year-old cricketer can be seen silencing the fans with one finger on the lips gesture in the stadium, ahead of CSK’s clash against Kolkata Knight Riders. However, the intention behind doing this is very sweet. As the fans went all hysterical seeing their favourite cricketer, the former India skipper was trying to calm them.

The hottest topic of the 16th edition of the IPL has been whether the Ranchi-born cricketer is going to bid adieu to the cash-rich league post this season or not. Time and again, there have been several incidents that have left the fans totally confused. Whatever the truth is, ‘MSDians’ don’t wish to miss out on any opportunity to see Dhoni play, probably, his last home game.

Notably, CSK are currently placed at the second spot on the points table and a win against KKR, who have managed the eighth spot in the standings with 10 points in 12 matches, can help them to become the first team to qualify for the IPL 2023 Playoffs.
