The MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings played their final game of the season at home in MA Chidambaram Stadium on May 14 (Sunday). However, it definitely wasn’t their day in the middle as the Yellow Army lost their last home fixture from the league stage at Chepauk by six wickets. It also put a halt to their Playoffs qualification as the team needs only one more win to add that Q ahead of their name.

However, despite this loss, MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings had a special gesture for their home crowd. The 41-year-old along with other members of the team took a victory lap around the MA Chidambaram Stadium as they distributed CSK jerseys and a few others memento . It was during this lap that former Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar ran towards MSD to get an autograph on his shirt, a gesture gain which won several hearts.

With this a lot of fans still remain unanswered on whether this will be MSD’s last IPL or not. However, a couple of days back, Danny Morrison did ask Dhoni of this being his last to which the legend replied that fans are making it last for him not him himself. Soon after this match, the debate reignited again as former Indian all-rounder Mohammad Kaif believes that the 41-year-old has given enough hints.

“I think MSD has given enough hints that this is his last IPL. He’s keeping the world guessing and that’s been his nature. But I have an intuition that Dhoni will not be playing the IPL next year,” Kaif said.

However, the question still remains unanswered as reports are to be believed that this will be his last. The Dhoni-led side will next play against Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on May 20 in what is their last league match of the tournament.
