Indian fast bowlers Mukesh Choudhary and Moshin Khan are dealing with injuries and are in line that they could miss the upcoming 2023 season of the Indian Premier League. Choudhary made his IPL debut for Chennai Super Kings, while Mohsin Khan was part of the Lucknow Super Giants in the 2022 season.

Both these speedsters were bought for their base price and had a breakout season for their respective teams. But now, with injuries on their side, they could be ruled out of the tournament.

Regarding Mukesh Choudhary's absence, Chennai Super Kings CEO Kasi Viswanathan as quoted by Cricbuzz said, "We are waiting on Mukesh but we do not have much hope. He was one of our bowling mainstays last year. It will be unfortunate if he misses out." Choudhary is currently in rehab for his back injury at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru.

Whereas, Moshin is currently with the Lucknow Super Giants and hopes to return at some stage. But LSG officials haven't confirmed whether or not he will be in a position to take the field.

Talking about the 2022 IPL season,  Mukesh Choudhary was one of Chennai's biggest positives in a dismal season where the franchise finished ninth. The  Maharashtra pacer picked up  16 wickets in 13 games and was tied as the highest wicket-taker for Chennai with Dwayne Bravo.

Similarly,  Moshin Khan  played nine IPL games for Lucknow Super Giants last season and took 14 wickets. Khan delivered these wickets at an impressive economy rate of 5.97. The Uttar Pradesh pacer was the second-highest wicket-taker for Lucknow behind  Avesh Khan.

The Chennai Super Kings will start their 2023 campaign against the defending champions Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on March 31. Whereas, the Super Giants will take on Delhi Capitals on April 1 at the  Ekana Sports City in Lucknow.
