This remark left Vijay furious and he later tweeted, “@sanjaymanjrekar Surprised wow”. He then went ahead and composed another tweet, calling out the ignorance of the Mumbai-born cricketer. He tweeted, “Some Mumbai ex-players can never be appreciative of the south ! #showsomelove #equality #fairplayforall @sanjaymanjrekar @BCCI”.

The stat was shown as Indian captain Rohit Sharma was nearing his ninth Test hundred and discussed the best conversion rates for Indian batters who have at least 10 half-centuries in Tests at home. Sharma has a 50 per cent rate, below Kohli's 52. However, leading the list, Vijay has a conversion rate of 60 per cent, as he has scored nine centuries in 30 games in India.
