In a shocking turn of events, Nate Diaz slapped a reporter on Saturday night's UFC events after he allegedly posted a tweet about the welterweight. Notably, Diaz was in Las Vegas to watch Israel Adesanya's fight against Jared Cannonier in the main event of UFC 267 at the T-Mobile Arena. Post-match, Diaz was approached by the Full Send MMA reporter, the news media outlet owned by YouTube stars the Nelk boys.

Reportedly, Nate was not interested in chatting with the reporter as he was already annoyed with him over the tweet. The UFC fighter whispered a message about tweets he had supposedly posted, but the reporter, identified as Shawny Mack attempted to laugh off the exchange before Diaz smacked the microphone out of his hand and ultimately stuck him in the face.

The reporter asked if Diaz showed up to watch Sean O'Malley's fights and that prompted the response from the lightweight and welterweight contender where he slammed the reporter by suggesting he watch those tweets instead. A second later, Diaz knocked the microphone out of his hand followed by a slap across the face that sent the reporter away.

As per the video doing the rounds on social media, security guards who were standing nearby didn't seem bothered at all by the incident as they hardly gave any reaction. Speaking of Nate Diaz, he is currently training for a return to the Octagon as he aims to finally fight out his USC contract and get a chance to test free agency.

The promotion is keen for him to fight Khamzat Chimaev, but also wants his next fight to correlate with re-signing for them. He has been out of action for over a year after losing his last fight to Leon Edwards and has emerged victorious in just one since his star-making victory over Conor McGregor six-and-a-half years ago. Despite that, he remains one of the most recognisable stars in the sport.
