The National Basketball Association (NBA) recently announced the schedule of the games for the opening week as well as the Christmas Day for what is being observed as a landmark 75th Anniversary Season. However, the complete game schedule and broadcast details are yet to be announced and will be made public on August 20. The schedule is likely to include several milestone matchups all of which celebrate the NBA at 75.
As per the fixtures announced, the first four days of the event will see eight national television games as part of NBA Tip-Off 2021. It is also being reported that broadcasters TNT and ESPN will be airing two doubleheaders each. The games will display 12 different teams, the last eight players to have won the NBA Most Valuable Player Award as well as three rematches from last season's playoffs.

As per the official NBA release, the 2021-22 season will commence on October 19 with a doubleheader as the defending champions Milwaukee Bucks host the Brooklyn Nets in a rematch of a 2021 Eastern Conference Semifinals series. This will be followed by the Golden State Warriors touring the Los Angeles Lakers.
While the matches on the 19th will be covered by TNT, ESPN will commence its broadcast on October 20. The Boston Celtics visiting the New York Knicks will make up for the first of the two contests lined up, the other one being defending Western Conference champion Phoenix Suns welcoming the Denver Nuggets. This will be a rematch of the 2021 Conference Semifinals series.
Other than these, the NBA is set to witness five games on Christmas Day for the 14th successive year. It will begin with the Hawks facing the Knicks in New York, then the Celtics will visit the Bucks, followed by the Suns hosting the Warriors. Next, the Lakers and Nets will meet in Los Angeles. The Christmas Day schedule will conclude with the Mavericks visiting the Utah Jazz.
The entire season is set to run from October 19, 2021, to April 10, 2022, with the 2022 NBA All-Star Game scheduled on Sunday, February 2022 in Cleveland.
