NBA superstar and Dallas Mavericks point guard Luka Doncic has breached the surreal feat of reaching the Top 500 ranks in Overwatch 2, earning the label of one of the best players in the game despite being the regular for his NBA side. He shared the historic feat by sharing a screenshot of the achievement on his Instagram story.
The 25-year-old Slovenian, who is a committed professional basketball player, is a long-time gamer and a seasoned player in Overwatch, who once ran into a streamer in a Grand Master lobby, where he acknowledged the gamer before even revealing his identity. He is one of those guys who are at the top of a professional sport as well as in a video game sport.
From the photo that he posted on his Insta story, it wasn’t visible about the ranking of him but there was a tiny silver on the left side of the image, where a small portion of the Grand Master Emblem is seen, which means he’s highly likely to be a GM. He achieved the feat while playing the game on a laptop, which clearly isn’t the best condition for gaming for highly competitive ranks.
On the match front, the Dallas Mavericks didn’t start the Conference Semifinals season well as they were humbled by Oklahoma City Thunder by a 117-95 margin in Game 1 and trails by 1-0. Luka Doncic, although possessed a good game as he scored 19 points in the game with 9 assists.
