Need for Speed fans, there is some good news coming your way! A brand-new edition of the car-racing game is teased for December release this year and a big reveal is around the corner. The upcoming NFS title may be released under the name ‘Unbound’ and is rumoured to be a multiplayer-focused driving game. It is also expected to have animated elements in the game, such as fire or flames erupting from the car as the player drifts, jumps, and crashes.

Although it is all speculation, industry insider Tom Henderson has claimed that a major Need for Speed reveal will arrive in the next few weeks. With the last NFS game coming way back in 2020, the fans are desperate for a new entry into the franchise and if rumours are to be believed, the wait is almost over. Reports are claiming that a two-three minute-long trailer will be revealed in the next two weeks, possibly sometime in early October.

The release, meanwhile, is being teased for December 2, 2022, but that is also tentative at this point. If the reports are to be believed, fans may get to see A$AP Rocky featuring on the new game’s soundtrack. New anime elements in the game are also touted.

Tom Henderson has previously reported that the game will be heavily multiplayer-focused and will have “meetups” that allow people to race against each other in different locations on the map. It’s also been suggested that the game will feature never-before-used maps in the NFS franchise.

Although all of these are based on rumours floating around, it comes as a hope for the NFS fans who have been waiting for a long to get their hands on a brand-new game. The new NFS Unbound may potentially release for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC platforms.
