Punjab Kings (PBKS) secured a commanding seven-wicket victory over Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 69th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. Initally, PBKS won the toss and chose to field first. After being put into bat, MI got off to a steady start with openers Rohit Sharma (24) and Ryan Rickelton (27) laying a solid foundation. The innings was anchored by Suryakumar Yadav, who played a fluent knock of 57 runs, showcasing his trademark strokeplay apart from cameos from the lower middle order. With that, Mumbai Indians posted a decent total of 184/7 in the allotted overs.
In response, PBKS launched a spirited chase against the Mumbai bowling attack with Josh Inglis and Priyansh Arya starring with scores of 73 (42) and 62 (35) respectively. The duo stitched together a 109-run partnership for the second wicket, frustrating the MI bowlers and taking the match beyond their reach.
