The New Zealand cricket team is likely to tour India for the limited over series in the start of 2026. As per the report by the Times of India, the Black Caps are set to play three ODIs and five T20I matches with the hosts India ahead of the T20 World Cup which is likely to be played in February- March, 2026. The defending champions India will host the 10th edition of the tournament along with Sri Lanka. The report stated that the white-ball series between India and New Zealand will begin on January 11, 2026.

The white-ball series between India and New Zealand will help both the nations to prepare for the T20 World Cup that year. Notably, India have a packed cricketing schedule until the end of 2025. They will first travel to England for a five-match Test series starting on June 20. After that, the Men in Blue are scheduled to tour Bangladesh for a red-ball series in August 2025, followed by the home Test series against West Indies in the first half of October. After that, India will travel to Australia for three ODIs and five T20Is from October 19 to November 8 and will return to host South Africa for all-format series which is scheduled to take place from November 14 to December 19.

New Zealand to play T20I Tri-Series in Zimbabwe in July - August

Talking about New Zealand, they are next scheduled to play a T20I tri-series in Zimbabwe along with South Africa starting on July 14. The Black Caps will begin their campaign with a match against South Africa in Harare on July 16.

After their 2025 Champions Trophy final loss against India, New Zealand went on to play five T20Is and three ODIs against Pakistan at home from March 16 to April 5. Now, after more than three months, the Kiwis will be seen in action again on the cricketing field with a T20I Tri-Series in Zimbabwe
