The Asian Cricket Council Annual General Meetings (AGM) are set to take place over the next two days in Bali Indonesia. The two-day conclave is set to be crucial regarding the future of Asian cricket with a few important decisions set to be made like the venue and format for the next Asia Cup.

The AGM itself is scheduled for January 31 with all members of the continental association including Jay Shah in attendance. The focus will be on the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary, Jay Shah, for a variety of factors with him also being the president of the Asian Cricket Council.
Next Asia Cup set to be played in T20 format
As per Cricbuzz, the next tournament will be played with a Twenty20 format after the last edition was held with the ODI format. Further, the list of hosts includes the likes of the United Arab Emirates (UIAE) and Oman. The last Asia Cup took place with Pakistan and Sri Lanka jointly hosting the tournament.
Talking about the 2023 edition of the Asia Cup, India emerged as the champions after dismantling Sri Lanka in the final with a ten-wicket margin. Before the final, the Men in Blue lost just one game throughout the tournament against Bangladesh.
