Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios is going through some rough patches. The 27-year-old has been involved in a legal matters after his ex-girlfriend Chiara Passari filed a case over assault. In the latest update, it is being reported that the court hearing of the same has been pushed back by three weeks.

Nick Kyrgios was scheduled to submit before the court over the charges on next Tuesday in Canberra, but will now be called to face the ACT Magistrates Court on August 23. Kyrgios was charged over a domestic violence case, regarding an incident that took place in December 2021.

Talking more about the charges laid on the Australian tennis star, a maximum of two years of sentence is attached to the charges he has been imposed with. The news about this matter was brought into limelight during his stint in the Wimbledon 2022.

The revised date of court falls after the end of the Cincinati Masters. Notably, Kyrgios has received a wild card entry to play the ATP Masters 1000 event. Seeing the court proceedings and the legal matter, Nick Kyrgios will have a week before he gets to play the US Open 2022.

The fourth and final Grand Slam of the season (US Open) is scheduled to start on August 29 in New York. Nick Kyrgios reached the final of the 2022 Wimbledon Championships after Rafael Nadal withdrew from the semifinal clash owing to an injury. However, he suffered a shocking defeat against former World No. 1 and defending champion Novak Djokovic.
