'No need to say more' - AB de Villiers showers praise on Dewald Brewis after latter's 162 runs off 57 balls

South African cricketing sensation Dewald Brewis created history as he smashed 162 runs in 57 balls with 13 fours and 13 sixes against the Knights at Senwes Park in Potchefstroom. After this massive knock, Brewis’ Titans posted a humongous total of 271 in their 20 overs. 


After losing the toss, the Titans were put into after which they host this mammoth score for the loss of three wickets. Reacting to this insane cricketing feat, Former South Africa captain AB de Villiers heaped praise on Brevis as maximised the batting-friendly conditions. ABD took to Twitter and posted a short message. 


AB de Villiers’ tweet said, “Dewald Brevis. No need to say more.” Check out the tweet here:



Dewald Brewis has always considered AB de Villiers as his idol and hence has also garnered the nickname of ‘Baby AB’. Both players possess a similar big-hitting ability which pushed the Mumbai Indians to make a big-money push to acquire the services of the Protean star. 


The youngster, during the 2022 IPL opened up about his relationship with ABD and how his idol has helped him with small technical things. He said,  "He's played a big role, it's a special relationship. He teaches me small things that help me a lot. It's about my mindset, and the way to play the game & tells me to keep it simple with thinking about the game and also with small technical things which he helps me a lot with.


While speaking in a pre-match chat with broadcasters ahead of the match against Lucknow Super Giants, Brewis further talked about ABD and asked him to be aggressive in approach and calm throughout the game. “Playing with aggression is important but also to just keep calm in certain situations and to now see how the next game goes," added Brevis.
