Team India delivered yet another clinical performance in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022 as they registered 56-run win over Netherland s on October 27 at Sydney Cricket Stadium. After notching up nail-biting victory against Pakistan, Men in Blue climbed up to the top-spot of the Group 2 with second victory on the trot. While KL Rahul failed yet again with the bat, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav smashed impressive half-centuries in the first innings of the game.

After Indian batters dominated the first half of the match, Indian bowlers stole the show with their fierce spell as Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arshdeep Singh, Axar Patel, and Ravichandran Ashwin picked two wickets to restrict Netherland at 123-9 in the second innings.

Meanwhile, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma was happy with 'near perfect' win over the Netherland but was 'not pleased' about his own 53-run knock on Thursday. Rohit's innings included four boundaries and three maximums in 39-balls as India posted 179 for two. While speaking at post-match presentation, Rohit admitted that he was not 'too happy' with his knock but currently focusing on getting runs for the team.

"We played a little slow at the start but that was the conversation between me and Virat, we had to wait on that surface to play the big shots. Not too happy with my fifty, but what's important is to get runs for the team. Doesn't matter if they are good looking runs or ugly runs. At the end of the day, it is about keeping the confidence up," Rohit said.

The Indian skipper also lauded Netherlands for playing clinical game during Qualification round and successfully qualifying among top-12 teams.

Meanwhile, Suryakumar Yadav was awarded Player of the Match award for his brilliant batting display against Netherlands. Suryakumar Yadav hammered Netherlands bowlers as he added 51-run in just 25 deliveries with the help of seven boundaries and one maximum.
