Now, Afghanistan can end with a maximum of six wins in the ODI World Cup 2023 points table.
If a team wins six games, then they will confirm their qualification in the semi-finals of World Cup 2023 as teams like India and South Africa have already qualified for semi-finals.
Hence, Afghanistan will qualify for semi-finals of World Cup 2023 if they can win their remaining two games.
Afghanistan can qualify for semi-finals even if they manage to win one of their remaining two games provided if other results go their way.
If Afghanistan ends with five wins then,
- New Zealand should lose their last game to Sri Lanka so they will end with only 4 wins.
- Pakistan should lose their last game to England so they will end with only 4 wins.
