The Indian cricket team sweated it out in the nets ahead of their ODI World Cup 2023 season opener against Australia. Notably, the Men in Blue, under the leadership of Rohit Sharma, will take on Pat Cummins' men at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Gearing up for their first match of the season, the hosts were seen practicing in nets at Chepauk in their new training jersey. The Indian spinners, in the names of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja were seen bowling in partnership in the nets.

Donning their new bright orange coloured training jersey, the two-time world champions engaged in a pretty intense training session. Ashwin, who was a surprising entry to the Indian squad, joined Jadeja to deliver during the training.
Not only this, but the India's rising powerhouse Ishan Kishan, who is expected to open his side's innings, in absence of Shubman Gill, was seen playing with new balls against pacers Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah. Not only this, but the Indian bowling star Shami was seen batting for long with the teammates.
While players like Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah, Shardul Thakur and Mohammed Siraj trained hard ahead of the match, Shubman Gill was an absentee. There have been reports that Gill has been down with dengue since he landed in Chennai.
