Ace Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah is celebrating his 31st birthday on December 3, 2024. He has established himself as one of the best fast bowlers to ever play for the Indian cricket team, and is regarded among the best fast bowlers of the current generation. Known for his unique bowling action and toe-crushing yorkers, Bumrah is a kind of a bowler that no batter would want to ever face in his career. 

Jasprit Bumrah made his debut for the Indian cricket team in an ODI match against Australia in Sydney on January 23, 2016. He had an impressive debut where he registered figures of 2/40 in his spell of 10 overs. After a few days, Bumrah made his T20I debut against Australia in Adelaide on January 26, 2016, where he registered match-winning figures of 3/23 in 3.3 overs. Over the years, Bumrah has become a key player in India’s fast bowling lineup across all formats.

Jasprit Bumrah has delivered match-winning bowling spells on many occasions whenever his team was in a tricky situation. He has turned out to be a death overs specialist who could turn the match around with his unplayable yorkers in limited-overs cricket apart from a model of accuracy in all the three formats. He has won five IPL titles with Mumbai Indians in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2020. He also managed to win the player of the tournament award during India's T20 World Cup triumph in 2024. The right-arm pacer scalped 15 wickets in eight matches in the tournement, which was played in the USA and the Caribbean. 

The Gujarat-born cricketer has also led India in two T20Is and two Test matches so far. He has played 41 Tests, 89 ODIs, and 70 T20I matches for the Indian team, taking 419 wickets in all three formats combined. Bumrah is argubly the best pacer in the Indian cricket team currently, and is yet to achieve many other milestones in his career ahead.
