Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is currently undergoing a rehabilitation to recover from a knee injury that he sustained during Asia Cup 2022 in the United Arab of Emirates. After suffering a grave knee injury during the continental tournament, the top-seeded all-rounder missed out on being a part of the 15-member squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia, which was announced by the BCCI recently.

Notably, Jadeja had only participated in first the two group stage games for India in the continental tournament against Pakistan and Hong Kong, before being ruled out of the remainder of the tournament following the injury.

The southpaw had a great Asia Cup campaign as he played a match-winning knock of 35-runs against the arch-rivals Pakistan in the first game, followed by a wicket and a brilliant fielding display against Hong Kong. Reportedly, Jadeja sustained a serious knee injury during an adventurous activity on the off-day.

While Jadeja had a successful knee surgery after returning to Mumbai from UAE, the all-rounder has now shared an update on his recovery. Taking to Instagram, Jadeja posted a picture of himself standing with the support of crutches and wrote, "One step at a time." Earlier reports claimed that BCCI officials were miffed with the manner in which Ravindra Jadeja sustained injury and sought an explanation from the touring staff.

Jadeja's exclusion from the Asia Cup 2022 pushed the management into a tight spot as the captain and the coach looked clueless to find a potential replacement for the all-rounder. Although Deepak Hooda was roped into the Playing XI in the Super-4 stage, but the young prodigy wasn't used much with the ball.

Cricket experts have claimed that Team India will highly miss the services of Jadeja in the upcoming ICC tournament as he provided a lot of balance to the side.
