Gujarat Titans shrugged off their previous defeat against the Delhi Capitals with a dominant bowling effort against the Punjab Kings at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur. After losing the toss, the Titans were asked to bowl first and grabbed the opportunity by both arms.
After a blistering start for Punjab, thanks to 35 in 21 balls by Prabhsimran Singh, the Titans clawed back with three quick wickets and kick-started a collapse for the Kings. From 67-3, Punjab was reduced to 99-7 as GT spinners Rashid Khan, Noor Ahmad and Sai Kishore ripped through the batters. Eventually, PBKS was bowled out for 142 with the Tamil Nadu captain finishing his four overs with figures of 4-33 while Ahmad and Khan combined to pick up three wickets.
