Pakistan wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan was caught offering namaz on the streets of Boston, USA. Rizwan and his fellow Pakistan cricketer and skipper Babar Azam are in the USA to attend Harvard’s executive education program on the Business of Entertainment, Media, and Sports. The program that started on May 31 lasted till June 3, and both of them have become the first Pakistan cricketers to attend the prestigious program.

Rizwan, who extended his stay in the US beyond June 3, caught the attention of social media users. A video has been doing rounds on several social media platforms wherein Rizwan could be seen offering namaz on the streets of Boston. The video has sparked mixed reactions, where while some fans are appreciating this gesture of the 31-year-old cricketer, others are criticising him for the same, suggesting that there are specific places to offer prayers.

Meanwhile, this display of devotion is not the first time as he was earlier seen presenting a book of the Holy Quran to one of his teachers at the Harvard campus.

Here are some of the reactions:

Notably, Babar and Rizwan have joined the list of sportspersons who have enrolled in the eminent course offered by the top-tier B school. The list includes names like Kaka, Edwin van der Sar, Gerard Piqué, Oliver Kahn, NFL’s Brandon Marshall, NBA’s Miami Heat teammates Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade, Major League Baseball’s Alex Rodriguez, NBA stars Dirk Nowitzki, Chris Paul, and Pau Gasol to name a few.
