The Indian Premier League franchise owners have recently bought teams in UAE and South Africa T20 league and Indian cricket commentator Aakash Chopra pointed out the possibility of Indian owners hiring Pakistani players for their franchise in foreign leagues.
Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra has expected Pakistani cricket players to play again for the Indian employers in the franchise T20 leagues other than the Indian Premier League.
While speaking on his YouTube channel, Chopra said, "Pakistani players are banned in the IPL, but they play in all the other T20 leagues. So since Indian franchise owners have bought teams in other leagues, they will be hiring Pakistan players as well. This is also going to happen. So, Pakistani players are soon going to play for Indian employers once again."
Pakistani cricketers last played in the IPL in 2008 after. The cricketers from India's neigbouring country were banned from the tournament after the Mumbai terrorist attacks.
Earlier, the IPL franchise owners have successfully won the bids for all six South African franchises as the CSA T20 League is scheduled to take place in January and February 2023. Five out of six franchises in the International League T20 (ILT20) by Emirates Cricket Board are also owned by the Indian owners while three of them are the owners of IPL franchises. ILT20 will be played from January next year.
