On Tuesday, July 30, the Indian boxer, Amit Panghal, crashed out of the Paris Olympics 2024  after losing his round of 16 bout in the men’s flyweight division at the Arena Paris Nord. The 28-year-old was no match to the skill and precision of the Zambian, Patrick Chinyemba, who advanced to the next round with a 4-1 win on the judges' scorecard.

In the first round, Patrick Chinyemba was quite aggressive without landing any significant punches on Amit Panghal, who stayed on the defensive throughout the three minutes. Panghal got just two 10s in comparison to three for Chinyemba, losing the first round.

The second round saw Amit Panghal push himself to start attacking Patrick Chinyemba, but he wasn’t quite able to land significant punches on his opponent at all. It led to Chinyemba taking the second round with three 10s compared to only two for Panghal.

In the third and final round of the men’s flyweight bout, Amit Panghal had the last opportunity to keep his hopes alive at the Paris Olympics 2024. But, Patrick Chinyemba ensured that the Indian wasn’t able to put him in any strife in the round.

The Zambian got into his groove in the latter half of the third round, winning it with four 10s to Amit Panghal’s one, sending him out of Paris 2024.
