Australia skipper Pat Cummins is set to miss the upcoming three-match ODI series against India before the ODI World Cup 2023. Cummins suffered a suspected broken wrist in the fifth Ashes Test and hence may not recover in time for the series.
Cricket Australia hasn't shared detailed information about Cummins’ injury. The Australian team will fly to India as part of their final preparations for the World Cup. The series kicks off on September 22 in Mohali before reaching Indore for the second ODI on September 24. The series concludes in Rajkot on September 27.
Further Sydney Morning Herald reported, “two sources with knowledge of the matter but not authorised to speak publicly say medical staff have not ruled out a possible fracture.”
