In a significant development, France midfielder Paul Pogba is set to join Juventus on a free transfer after his Manchester United contract expires. As per the latest reports, United and Paul Pogba failed to agree on a new contract and the club confirmed earlier that the footballer will leave as a free agent this summer.

Pogba will reportedly begin training with Juventus next week prior to their trip to the United States where they will lock horns with Barcelona and Real Madrid on July 27 and 30 respectively.

This will be Paul Pogba's second stint with Juventus as earlier the striker played a pivotal role in making Juventus, the Italian Champions from 2012-13 to 2015-16. Pogba scored 34 goals from 178 games in his previous spell with Juventus after he moved from United in 2012 on a free transfer. During his second spell at Old Trafford, Pogba assisted United to win the EFL Cup and Europa League but those were the only two trophies he won.

Reports have claimed that United has roughly spent around £200m on Paul Pogba in transfer fees and wages during his two spells at the club. While notifying about Pogba's decision to move away from United, the club released a statement stating that 'it was a low-key end to a United career that brought so many individual high moments.'

Reports have claimed that United offered him a more lucrative deal than his previous one but in an Amazon Prime documentary 'The Pogumentary', he stated that the club was 'bluffing.'

Paul Pogba scored 39 goals in 233 appearances across his two spells at the club but his final home appearance against Norwich City in April saw him booed by his own supporters as he was substituted. Paul Pogba also expressed his gratitude towards fans and supporters for 'unconditional support from the fan' in a message on social media.
