Babar Azam-led Pakistan have had an on and off season at the ODI World Cup 2023 in India. The Men in Green, who currently sit at fifth place in the ten-team standings, will want to win their last league game and confirm a place in the semifinals. But ahead of their final league game at the CWC 2023, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has voiced their decision on  Mohammad Rizwan’s post .

The Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter after team’s win over Sri Lanka at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad has sent out a post, dedicating the win to the “brother and sisters in Gaza”. The 31-year-old who threw light on the ongoing war in the Israel-Palestinian conflict, regarded this win to the suffering of the Palestinians.

However, as per the recent reports, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has asked Rizwan to remove the post from social media. Reports quoting a PCB spokesperson said, “The International Cricket Council and the PCB’s legal department are relevant here as I am not privy to this information.”

It is to be noted that Rizwan wasn’t the only one to come out in support of the war-hit region. Shadab Khan, Mohammad Nawaz, Usama Mir were also among others to express support for Palestinians.

The Men in Green will next take on reigning ODI World Cup champions, England at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on November 11.
