Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is leaving no stone unturned in their preparations to welcome Australia for a historic cricket series. It is going to be Aussies' first tour of Pakistan since 1998, which makes it a momentous occasion. The two sides will lock horns in 3-match Test series, followed by 3 ODIs and 1 T20I, set to be played from March 4 to April 5.

With so much talks around the security of players, a Pakistani journalist Arfa Feroz Zake provided an update on PCB's foolproof plan of providing security to teams during the historic series.

He tweeted, "Pakistan Army and 4000 security personnels will be deployed including snipers on buildings. Food street, double road and Allama Iqbal Park will be closed around Pindi Cricket Stadium. Mobile service will be suspended during team traveling. MetroBus route will be limited."

The journalist also revealed the names of commentators who will take up the duties during Australia's tour of Pakistan. The list mentioned by him is as follows: Simon Katich, Waqar Younis, Izzy Westbury, Peter Lalor, Bharat Sundaresan and Adam Collins.

Players are jumping on the plane: Andre McDonald

Meanwhile, Australia's interim head coach Andrew McDonald admitted that the team is eagerly looking forward for the upcoming series against Pakistan and he believes that it is going to be a "safe and exciting" tour for his team.

"They (players) are jumping on the plane. So that to me says they’re ready to go and they are clear in their mind, that it’s going to be safe and it’s an exciting tour and they’re getting their heads around the cricket as opposed to the other things that potentially can pop into their mind," McDonald said in a virtual press conference ahead of the historic series.
