With this victory, Rays pitcher Tyler Glasnow registered his first win since 2021 after striking out six across six innings. However, Glasnow made headlines for his striking resemblance with 'Peaky Blinders' actor Cillian Murphy, and pictures have gone viral on social media.
After undergoing Tommy John surgery, the 29-year-old Tampa Bay pitcher missed most of the last season and marked his third start of the ongoing season on Friday against the Texas Rangers. On the other hand, Cillian Murphy is a popular Irish actor, who is known for his portrayal of Thomas Shelby in the British period crime drama Peaky Blinders.
