Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is the captain of the Gabon national team, while being a part of Saudi Pro League team Al-Qadsiah in club football. The 36-year old had joined the Saudi club as a free agent last season before leaving them just a few days ago. During the campaign, Aubameyang has made a total of 32 appearances for the Saudi club in which he has managed to score 17 goals for his team. Aubameyang has also played for teams like Marseille, Borussia Dortmund, and Arsenal. As part of Dortmund, he had won the German Cup title, and with Arsenal he managed to win the FA Cup.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has an agreement with Olympique Marseille to make a return to the club ahead of the upcoming campaign. The 34-year-old is set to sign a two-year deal with the French club which will see him joining them until 2027. The French team had finished as the runners up of the Ligue 1 in the last campaign. Despite other Saudi teams keen on signing the Gabonese International, he has made up his mind to return to France.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is reportedly set to take a huge salary cut in order to complete his return to Olympique Marseille. With the return of Aubameyang at the club, manager Roberto De Zerbi will be hungry for a long run in the UEFA Champions League next season and will look to clinch the Ligue 1 title from PSG in the upcoming campaign.
The Saudi club have confirmed the departure of Aubameyang from the team and have posted on their social media handles stating, “Thank you Auba for every moment, every goal and every roar.” Aubameyang will hope to continue his goal-scoring form at the French club and will be competing with the striker Amine Gouiri for the role of the centre-forward in the upcoming season.
