With the fifth and final Test of the five-match series for the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy underway in the Kenington Oval in London, the Shubman Gill-led Indian team were bowled out early on day two. Resuming the day two from 204/6 with Karun Nair batting at unbeaten 52 alongside Washington Sundar, who had added 19 runs, the visiting side fell like a pack of cards within the first 30 minutes.

While Karun nair was dismissed lbw by Josh Tongue at the score of 57, Washington Sundar departed in the very next over after adding seven runs to his overnight score. Just after a brief stay for Mohammed Siraj, the Indian pacer departed of Gus Atkinson over, followed by Prasidh Krishna’s wicket withing the next two deliveries, thus getting bundled out at the score of 224.

Gus Atkinson was the star for the home side as he finished with the figures of 5/33 in his 21.4 overs. The right-arm pacer, who is playing his first Test match in the ongoing series, managed 2/32 in his 19 overs on Day 1 and picked three more wickets on day two to complete his fifer, which was his fourth in Test cricket career.

With a spell of 5/33, Atkinson raced to 60 wickets in the longest format. With this being his fourth five-wicket haul, he also has one match haul of 10 scalps. After India’s first innings, Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett opened the England innings and have stitched unbeaten 92-run stand (at the time of writing) for the opening wicket.
