Already eliminated from the playoffs race, Royal Challengers Bengaluru are taking on Mumbai Indians in the final league of the ongoing Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025. In RCB’s last game of the season, skipper Smriti Mandhana led from the front and played a captain’s knock of 53(37) runs. With the help of her knock, along with contributions from Ellyse Perry, Richa Ghosh and Georgia Wareham, RCB posted 199/3 in their 20 overs.
Coming to bat first after losing the toss, RCB got a flying start as Smriti Mandhana and Sabbhineni Meghana added 41 runs for the first wicket in 3.4 overs. Meghana got out after scoring a quickfire 26(13) runs hitting four fours and one six. After that, Ellyse Perry joined Mandhana at the crease as the duo put up a partnership of 59 runs for the second wicket. Mandhana got out after scoring 53 runs off 37 balls hitting six fours and three sixes.

After Smriti Mandhana’s wicket, Elllyse Perry and Richa Ghosh put up a partnership of 53 runs for the third wicket. Richa contributed with 36 runs off 22 balls with five fours and a six. After that, Georgia Wareham joined Perru at the crease as the duo added 46 runs before the end of 20 overs. Wareham scored a quickfire 31* runs off just 10 deliveries hitting five fours and a six as RCB fell short of just one runs from the 200-run mark.
Apart from that, Ellyse Perry als remained unbeaten on 49* runs off 38 balls with five fours and one six. For MI, Hayley Matthews took two scalps while Amelia Kerr put one in her bag. Now Mumbai Indians need 200 runs to win the match and get direct entry to the final by finishing at the top of the points table.
