Richard Dunne

Richard Dunne is a former professional footballer who played for Everton, Manchester City, Aston Villa and Queens Park Rangers. He was known for his defensive prowess and leadership qualities on the pitch. During his career, he made over 500 appearances in the Premier League and won numerous awards including a Manchester City's Player of the Year in 2004-05. He also represented Ireland at international level, making 80 appearances for them between 2000 and 2013. After retiring from football in 2015, Dunne has gone on to become a coach with various clubs including Aston Villa's Under-23s side. He has also been involved with charity work such as The Richard Dunne Foundation which helps disadvantaged children in Ireland.

He may be a big softy off the pitch, but during his career, he received 8 red cards in the league. He was one of the hardest players, according to his colleagues in the league.
