As some of the Indian players were asked to report to NCA to undergo fitness test ahead of IPL 2022, the fans were stunned to know that Prithvi Shaw failed the Yo-Yo test. The Delhi Capitals' youngster reportedly scored less than 15 in the test whose benchmark is set at 16.5 to clear. Suddenly, all the attention had been switched from Hardik Pandya (who cleared the fitness test with 17+ score) to Shaw with the netizens flooding social media reacting on Shaw's failed fitness test.

The youngster has come under scrutiny in past regarding his weight and fitness, and the latest development gave everyone another opportunity to criticize Shaw. While some claimed that the 22-year-old is wasting his talent, others termed him as 'careless' for not looking after his fitness.

As the fans and media firms went berserk, with internet full of posts and news around Shaw, the youngster finally reacted on Wednesday night. He shared an Instagram story which said, "Please don't judge me when you don't know my situation. You are creating your own Karma," presumably asking everyone to not pass a judgement on him before knowing the real story.

Shaw played three Ranji games before heading to NCA

“These are just fitness updates. Obviously, it doesn’t stop Prithvi from playing for Delhi Capitals in IPL. It’s just a fitness parameter and not the be all and end all… Look, he has played three Ranji matches back-to-back. Once you play three first-class games on the bounce, the fatigue can also affect your Yo-Yo score,” a source told PTI on Wednesday.

He further stated that the fitness concerns of Shaw could be one of the reasons of his constant exclusion from national side, something which everyone has now been talking about, on social media. There could be number of reasons behind Shaw's poor performance in the Yo-Yo test at NCA and the youngster's reaction reflects that he is disappointed with how fans have reacted in the situation.

The cricket lovers would be hoping that Prithvi Shaw can silence all his critics with his performances on the field as he gets set to play for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2022, with a point to prove.
