India have got off to a great start in the ongoing Paris Paralympic Games 2024, winning one gold, one silver, and three bronze medals in first three days of the event. With that, the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, took some time from his busy schedule to congratulate India’s medal winners Manish Narwal and Rubina Francis on a phone call, praising them for India's memorable beginning to the Paralympics campaign.
In the first three days of the Paris Paralympic Games 2024, Manish Agarwal bagged sliver medal in men's 10m air pistol SH1 final by scoring 234.9 points. He had also won a gold medal in the 50m air pistol SH1 event at the Paralympic Games 2020 in Tokyo. On the other hand, Rubina Francis also bagged the bronze medal with a score of 211.1 points in the women's 10m air pistol SH1 event.

India continue their heroics in Paralympics 2024
India are firmly placed to have their best campaign, in terms of winning the number of medals at the ongoing Paris Paralympics 2024. The Indian athletes have won five medals in the tournament so far. Avani Lekhara was the first gold medalist for India in the 2024 Paralympic games, defending her title from Tokyo in the 10m air rifle standing SH1 event in women’s shooting.
With that, Avani Lekhara also became the first Indian para athlete to bag two gold medal in the Paralympics. Apart from that. Para shooter Mona Agarwal also bagged a bronze medal in the Women’s 10m air rifle standing SH1 event.
