The PUBG Mobile World Cup will feature 28 teams hailing from various regions from around the world. Each team will earn a spot after a rigorous qualification process. Here is how many slots will be available across different regions.
Southeast Asia: 6 teams
Central and South Asia: 5 teams
EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa): 5 teams
Americas: 4 teams
South Korea: 1 team
Japan: 1 team
China: 2 teams
PMRC South Korea and Japan event: 1 team
PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO)’s champion region: 1 team
Special Invites: 2 teams
How will the PUBG Mobile World Cup 2024 be played?
The PMWC 2024 will be played across eight days with the tournament being divided into three phases.
Group Stage:
In the initial phase, 24 teams will vie for supremacy.
The top 12 teams from the overall points table will advance directly to the Main Stage, while the remaining 12 teams will progress to the next phase.
Survival Stage:
The Survival Stage will feature 16 teams competing for four slots, available in the Main Stage.
Teams from PMSL Americas, SEA, EMEA and CSA will directly qualify for the Survival Stage.
The top four teams from the overall standings will thereafter progress to the Main Stage, while the other 12 teams will make an exit from here.
Main Stage:
The final stage will see top 12 teams from the Group Stage and the top four from Survival Stage compete for the coveted title.
The team that outshines the rest in the Main Stage will be crowned the PMWC 2024 champion.
