Tencent Games are all set to introduce the third update of the year with a 2.6 patch in PUBG Mobile. It will be available for download on Thursday, May 18 at 5:30 am IST. It will include new features and improvements to the popular battle royale game. The BETA version is already available to play so players can play with the new features before the official release. The 2.6 updates are set to introduce various new exciting features in the game.
PUBG Mobile took to their Twitter handle to announce the upcoming update in the game. The new update is set to release different modes featuring prehistoric dinosaurs, and giant titans and will also improve the weapons. PUBG Mobile wrote on Twitter, "Version 2.6 launches May 18th (UTC+0)! Get ready for the roar of the dinosaur & more ways to break the limit."
Level Infinite to introduce PUBG Mobile DINOGROUND Mode along with a new game mode called "Titans: Last Stand." The Dinoground will be themed around the Erangel map and prehistoric dinosaurs will be available for taming. Each dinosaur has its own special feature, for example, Velociraptors are great at jumping and can easily jump at a higher platform or rooftops, allowing gamers to quickly travel to their destination.
In the mode, Titans: The Last Stand’ players can transform into giant Titans and battle other players. They can also summon AI-controlled Titans to help them in battle. A new feature called “Favourite Weapon” will enable players to select their preferred weapon prior to the match The update also includes improvement in UI and redesign of the lobby screen which are welcome changes.
Players have had various problems with weapon recoil, matchmaking, and spectator mode in the past which have been resolved. The developers have also included performance improvements to prevent game crashes. A new season, Cycle 4 Season 12 will also be introduced in PUBG Mobile.
