The highly anticipated PUBG Mobile World Cup (PMWC) 2025 at the Esports World Cup 2025 is set to kick off on 25th July in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The 24 teams from all around the world will compete for the prestigious trophy and $3,000,000 prize pool at Qiddiya Esports Arena. PUBG Mobile World Cup 2025: Format and Schedule
PUBG Mobile World Cup 2025 will take place from 25 July to 3 August. The tournament is divided into three stages - Group Stage, Survival Stage, and Grand Finals.
Group Stage - 25 to 27 July 2025
A total of 24 teams, divided into 3 groups of 8 teams each, will compete over three days in 18 matches. 6 matches will be played on each day, and every team will play 12 matches. After the 18 matches, the top 8 teams from the overall standings will qualify for the Grand Finals, while the remaining 16 teams will play in the Survival Stage.
Survival Stage - 29 to 30 July 2025
The bottom 16 teams from the Group Stage will compete in the Survival Stage for the last 8 grand final spots over two days. A total of 12 matches will be played, 6 each day, and the top 8 teams from the overall standings after all matches are completed will qualify for the Grand Finals.
Grand Finals - 1 to 3 August 2025
The PMWC 2025 Grand Finals will take place from 1 to 3 August. The 16 teams (top 8 from the Group Stage + Top 8 from the Survival Stage) will compete in a total of 18 matches. The Smash Rule will be applied on Day 3.
What is PMWC 2025 Smash Rule?
Teams will play regular matches in Grand Finals Day 3 until one team reaches a certain number of points, called the Match Point.
This number is set as Top 1’s points after Match 12 + 10 points.
Once a team reaches this point total, they become “Match Point Eligible.”
After that, the first team to get a WWCD (Winner Winner Chicken Dinner) will be declared the winner.
A maximum of 6 matches will be played in this stage. If no eligible team wins a match by the end, then the team with the highest points overall will be the champion.
