The ongoing season of the IPL is catering audience attention, given how top players are continuously getting injured and getting ruled out of the tournament. Another name that has recently joined the list is Royal Challengers Bangalore’s star batter, Rajat Patidar. Patidar has been ruled out of the ongoing edition of Indian Premier League due to an Achilles heel injury.
The Bangalore-based franchise announced on April 4 that the young and promising batsman would not be taking part in the tournament, however, his replacement is yet to be announced.
The dynamic Madhya Pradesh batter reacted for the first time to it; he took to his Instagram to share a story stating that he will miss playing for the franchise. Patidar wrote, “I will miss the red and gold army at Chinnaswamy: No matter where I am, I will always cheer for you. Until next time."
Patidar, who will be missing at the clash on April 6 at the Eden Gardens against Kolkata Knight Riders, had scored a century in the IPL 2022 playoffs the last time his team played at the Eden Gardens.
RCB had earlier tried Dinesh Karthik in Patidar’s place in the first match of the tournament, who, unfortunately, failed to perform. They will now face the Kolkata-based franchise who lost their opening match to Punjab Kings held at Mohali.
