Sachin Tendulkar
Arguably the greatest cricketing history, Sachin Tendulkar couldn’t complete his schooling as he reportedly failed the HSC exam and then represented India at the age of 16. Tendulkar emerged as a child prodigy in the local cricketing scene as he made his first-class debut for Mumbai at 15.
He scored centuries on his Ranji Trophy, Duleep Trophy and Irani Trophy debut which pushed the selectors to pick him for the tour to Pakistan. So at 16, Sachin Tendulkar was going up against some of the best fast bowlers in the world like Imran Khan, Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis. After this baptism by fire, Tendulkar played for 25 precious years, breaking countless records and setting a few which still seem impossible.
