The day is not far as the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 will see a new winner after a gap of three years with both, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) progressing into the final after a fantabulous season. While the Bengaluru-based franchise, who finished at second place in the IPL 2025 standings, defeated PBKS in the Qualifier 1 to advance into the final, the Shreyas Iyer-led franchise are coming after finishing at the top of the table and then beating Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Qualifier 2 by five wickets.

Although, RCB are making an appearance in the final after four years, its been some 11 odd years after which PBKS have advanced into the final of the prestigious T20 league. With both teams eyeing to clinch their maiden IPL title, the final, which is scheduled to be played on June 3 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will be nothing short of a cracker.

How much prize money will IPL 2025 runners-up get?

As the finale is just a night away, it is exciting to see how much will the winning team take home, whereas what will be in bag for the runners-up. Although, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) are yet to finalise the prize sum, the winner is likely to lift INR 20 Crore, which they have been getting since the 2016 edition. But when it comes to the runners-up, the second placed team could get INR 13 Crore, which has been the sum since the 2022 edition.

Apart from the winner and runners-up, the third and fourth-placed team will also get some extravagant prize money. The team finishing in third place in the IPL 2025 might receive INR 7 Crore, while the fourth-placed team could be in line to get INR 6.5 Crore. Moreover, there will also be a plethora of awards for individual players in the tournament.
