Vinicius Jr. is to miss the La Liga fixture against Atletico Madrid due to a hamstring injury, which he is recovering from. He was expected to be fit for selection for the game, according to head coach Carlo Ancelotti, but the club has decided that it is quite early and has avoided the risk of playing him.

The forward suffered his hamstring injury during Madrid’s clash against Celta Vigo on August 26. After pulling up with a hamstring injury just five minutes earlier, the forward attempted to continue playing but eventually hobbled off against Celta Vigo after just 18 minutes.
He was expected to be ruled out for several weeks and miss up to six games in the Spanish League. But he has recovered and is ahead of schedule. Head Coach Carlo Ancelotti had earlier confirmed that the player is back in light training and could be available for selection for the Madrid derby.

Vinicius is without a doubt a vital member of Real Madrid. They have kept their perfect winning record despite his absence, although they have had trouble attacking without him because Jude Bellingham has largely been depended upon. Having Vinicius available for Real Madrid's matchup with Atletico would be a huge advantage. They won't want to jeopardise his rehabilitation, so he might miss out on this game to be healthy for the Las Palmas game.
