The recent demise of the longest-serving monarch of England, Queen Elizabeth had not just shocked the entire world but largely affected the sporting events in England. From cricket to football every sporting contest scheduled to take place in England were rescheduled for a day or two to mourn the demise of the Queen.

Days have passed and every sporting event has resumed as per the itinerary. However, Bayern Munich supporters took a sly dig at the decision of postponing the fixtures due to the death of Queen Elizabeth II. The pictures of the incident have gone viral ever since it happened during the Champions League clash between Bayern Munich and Barcelona. Bayern supporters revealed the Queen-related banner in the first half of their Europe showdown against Barca. "Last minute match delays and bans because of a royal's death! Respect Fans," read the banner.

Reports claimed that protest was central to Rangers' clash with Napoli after it was revealed that visiting fans would not be allowed to enter Ibrox due to police shortages. Supporters of the Glasgow giants will not be allowed to travel to Naples for the reverse fixture in the interest of fairness. Notably, all fixtures in English football were postponed over the weekend due to the Monarch's passing, as were several other fixtures coming up due to policing issues.

With the Queen's funeral on September 9 (Monday), some crucial matches were pushed back. Rangers' Champions League clash with Napoli was postponed for 24 hours, while Arsenal's Europe League tie with PSV Eindhoven was also pushed back.

Three Premier League games were also rescheduled this weekend, including Chelsea vs Liverpool. Speaking of the match, Bayern Munich notched up an emphatic win against Barcelona on the back of goals from Lucas Hernandez and Leroy Sane. Although, Barca had their chances in the game, they could not capitalize.
