The fifth match of the second edition of Road Safety World Series will bring Sri Lanka Legends up against England Legends. While Sri Lanka will be riding high on confidence after defeating Australia Legends in their first clash of the competition, England Legends will play their first game in the fresh season. Tillakaratne Dilshan-led Sri Lanka Legends notched up comprehensive win by 38 runs against Shane Watson & boys, while Ian Bell-led England Legends look to kick start their fresh campaign on a positive note.

Pitch Report:

The Green Park Stadium looks to provide lot of help to the batters as we have already seen some high-scoring matches in first few matches in the tournament. Although, the average score at the ground is 147 but we can expect yet another high scoring game on Tuesday. Spinners can be handy for the team while pacers will have to work hard to pose challenge to the batters.

Team Analysis:

England Legends:

While Kevin Pietersen led the England Legends in the inaugural season, Ian Bell has been trusted with the responsibility following below par performance from the team in the first season. Notably, Ian Bell will not be available for the first match. The likes of Phil Mastard, Darren and Nick Compton will have the responsibility to add runs on board, while Dimitri Mascarenhas, Rikki Clarke, Stephen Parry, and Dareen Stevens are quality all-rounders in the squad.  Chris Schofield, Chris Tremlet, and Jade Dernback will be first choice pacers from the team.

Squad: Ian Bell (c), Nick Compton (wk), Phil Mustard, Chris Tremlett, Darren Maddy, Dimitri Mascarenhas, Mal Loye, James Tindall, Stephen Parry, Rikki Clarke, Jade Dernbach, Tim Ambrose (Wk), Chris Schofield, Stuart Meaker.

Sri Lanka squad:

Sri Lanka Legends skipper Tillakaratne Dilshan notched up blistering 107 off 56 in the first match of the season and will be aiming to continue his form in the second match. Apart from Tillakaratne Dilshan, Dilshan Munaweera scored 95 off 63 deliveries which propelled Sri Lanka to 218/1 in first innings. Nuwan Kulasekara picked four wickets against Australia, whereas, Chaturanga de Silva and Jeevan Mendis picked two wickets each in the game. Sri Lanka Legends will hope similar performance from their players as they will look to replace India Legends from the top-spot in the table.

Squad: Tillakaratne Dilshan (c), Kaushalya Weeraratne, Mahela Udawatte, Rumesh Silva, Asela Gunaratne, Chamara Silva, Isuru Udana, Chamara Kapugedera, Chaminda Vaas, Chaturanga De Silva, Chinthaka Jayasinghe, Dhammika Prasad, Dilruwan Perera, Dilshan Munaweera, Ishan Jayaratne, Jeevan Mendis, Nuwan Kulsekara, Sanath Jayasuriya, Upul Tharanga, Thisara Perera.

Match Prediction:

Considering the kind of performance Sri Lanka Legends delivered in their first match, Tillakaratne Dilshan-led side will be favourites and likely to win the game. They ticked all the right boxes in their first game and will be looking to hit the right chords once again.
