Rodrygo, a Brazilian international footballer plays for the 15-time Champions League winners Real Madrid. Rodrygo joined the Los Blancos in the year 2019 for a reported fee of €45m from the Brazilian club Santos FC. He has made a total of 270 appearances for the club, in which he has managed to score a total of 68 goals. Rodrygo can play anywhere in the attacking setup, as he has a knick of stepping up in crucial matches, scoring many match-winning goals for Real Madrid. The most memorable one was in the comeback against Manchester City in the 2022 Champions League semi-finals, when he was brought in as a substitute.
Although the Brazilian striker has a contract with the Madrid until June 2028, his stay is uncertain, and everything indicates that this could be his last season at the Santiago Bernabéu. Since the time Xabi Alonso became the manager of Real Madrid, the Brazilian has been unable to find much game-time, which indicates that he might not be a part of their plans for the upcoming campaign. Reports also reveal that Bayern Munich, Arsenal and Liverpool are interested in signing the 24-year-old.
Rodrygo’s transfer saga to take a wild turn: Reports
Latest reports suggest that Bayern are reportedly willing to cash in on the winger after they have parted ways with their forward Leroy Sane on a permanent deal to Galatasaray. The Bundesliga Champions are reportedly ready to pay €100 million in order to sign the Brazilian from Madrid, if Madrid are willing to let go of the forward. Arsenal is also interested in signing the winger as the future of their current winger Gabriel Martinelli remains uncertain.
Arsenal are keen on boosting their attacking line and might target Rodrygo once they are done with the signing of Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting Lisbon as negotiations are going on between both the clubs. Liverpool are also looking out on the situation of Rodrygo at Real Madrid as they are not done yet in the transfer window.
